Ready for week 2? Sure you are! This week we're doing five minutes of walking for your warm-up, then intervals of 90 seconds running and 2 minutes walking. Make sure you keep your walking at a brisk pace. Try to challenge yourself. If you end up needing to slow it down, there's no shame in that.

It's been a while and I need to get back into the swing of things so I figured we could all use some new music and new motivation. You can use these podcasts for the CoolRunnings Couch to 5k program, or use them for interval training. I'm starting a 10k training podcast to follow Hal Higdon's 10k training program. The workouts for this one aren't as clear cut as the 5k training since there aren't intervals with running and walking - but hopefully we'll get through this together anyway. First up is the 2.5 mile run which I'm equating to 25 minutes of running. We'll be doing a 5 minute warm-up and a 5 minute cool down. Couch to 5k - Week 9 Feeling FINE!

Wowsers, we've made it all the way to our last week - week 9 - together! I am so proud of you, you've done an amazing job getting here. Think back to week one when  you stepped up on the treadmill and had to go for a minute or so without stopping. If you're anything like me, you can't even believe how far you've come.

Holy crap we've made it to week 8. Some of you have powered through week by week, others of you have powered through but have had to go back a few weeks or try a few times. Either way, you're HERE and that is amazing.

Work has had me very busy lately and there hasn't been a ton of great *FREE* music for me to use but I did find a good mix of new and old to get through week 8.
